Doraemon Godzilla Island Adventure poster

Description

A poster that was requested by KingShisa08 for his upcoming fan story of the same name. As you can see, it's a crossover between the Doraemon franchise and the Godzilla franchise. This is the plot for it: Doraemon and company travel to Monster Island to see Godzilla and the other inhabitants only to be confronted by an evil demon named Gabara while there. Thankfully, Godzilla now actually has an anime image that can be used. For those unaware, to promote "Godzilla: Resurgence", Toho had the title monster crossover with the popular Japanese series Crayon Shin Chan. I've seen the short, and while it's not exactly anything to write home about, it's intended for kids and there's nothing wrong with that. After all, Godzilla appeals to kids as much as he does adults. With the success of Resurgence, Toho themselves are planning an anime film for Godzilla, with director Hideaki Anno on board for the film. Given Anno's work on the Evangelion series, I think the anime's in good hands with him. As for this, since Toho seems to be more open to crossovers to promote Godzilla, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this happened down the road. Doraemon is no doubt one of Japan's most popular and successful franchises, so Toho would most likely see profit in having Godzilla crossover for the series. If they use the plot for KingShisa08's story, than that would mean we'd get anime versions of the other monsters on Monster Island, which would be incredible to see. Guess we'll see what happens in the future.

Awesome work

It kinda seems weird to see Shin Goji looking down on the human cast like given the fact that he's the secondary protagonist of the story
