Prequel part 3.

After giving a full explanation, Alan takes an unconscious Gwen to the hospital. Dede helps tend to her, Dexter and Alan, in his human form, watch outside with Eddy, Rolf and Double D, with his suit in hand.

Alan, having not introduced himself to the Edvengers, turns to them to introduce himself.

Alan: My name is Alan. As you can see, I'm not fully a human.

Double D: We can see.

Dexter: Go on, Alan. You have my interest.

Alan nods.

Alan: Here's the deal. As I explained to Nigel, I thought I was full human. That is until I woke up with my bed on fire. When my old man put it out, he explained I'm part Pyronite, a race of fire aliens. I've also come to learn that this race is against another called a Sludgepuppies. Yeah, it's more threatening then what it sounds. And it seems our home is in the middle of this war.

Dexter: And the robot that attacked us?

Alan: Yeah, I think they send that to eliminate any thing that stood in its way. Just my guess.

Dexter: But you set that thing on fire, correct?

Alan: Maybe, but if that came from the same race as me, I don't know how well that would've worked.

Dede overhears this.

Dede: What do you mean by anything that stands in it's way?

Alan: Beats me, but I thought I saw a bomb on that thing. You put up a fight, but I think that thing would've gone off by now.

The group scowls at him.

Dede: Double D, can you suit up?

Double D: I thought you'd never ask, actually.

He gets into the Edzilla suit and knocks Alan against the wall, but not by purpose. Alan turns into his fire form and Eddy with the others prepare their weapons.

Dexter: Calm down everyone. Alan did save Gwen, so we do owe him that.

Dede: You're also forgetting the fact he might be an alien episode that's going to go to war with another on our planet!

Dexter turns to Alan.

Dexter: Why are you here?

Alan: I want the help of the Edvengers.

He turns back to normal.

Alan: Look. I'm a human just like you. I just happen to be part alien, of whose species is war.

Eddy: Yeah, but why did you just so happen to be there when that metal scrap heap attacked?

Alan: I also worked for the K.N.D. It was just good luck.

Eddy: About that species of yours...

Rolf: You tale odd tales, fire boy. Why do you vest us when you are in league with an enemy?

Alan: Okay, one is this guy from around here? And two, I'm not in league with that thing. I wouldn't be if I fought it. I can help you.

Edzilla releases him and he lands on his feet.

Dede (whispering to Edzilla): If he tries anything, don't hesitate to get him.

Elsewhere, the robot is searching for a place to release and detonate the bomb. It finds a small gas station. The few Edvengers and Alan have found him.

Alan: Be careful guys. That thing looks arm.

Edzilla fails to hear this and tackles the robot and only succeeds in placing the bomb in the ground further.

Dexter: Well, that plan worked. Anything else?

Alan: Yeah. I say we open it up and expose the bomb. That'll for sure deactivate it.

Dexter: I believe that, but that's easier said then done.

Alan: I know. But if we divide up, we might be able to cover more ground.

They all do so, but the team doesn't hurt it that much.

Dexter: I think I know what will work.

He grows into his giant form and ties the robot's arms into a shoe lace.

Dexter: Alan, now!

Alan turns into his fire form and blasts the robots head. Dede flies up to Dexter.

Dede: This is going well.

Dexter: What? That worked.

Dede: Yeah, but the bomb is still going!

Dexter: We'll get on that!

Before the siblings can continue to further argue, the robot turns to Dede. It fires a missiles at her.

Dexter: Look out!

He grabs her, but the explosion sends them both crashing head first into a tree and it creates a large crater. Dede climb's out of her brother's hand, now just figuring out what happened.

Dede: Dexter?

Dexter: Just get the bomb. We'll handle this.

He passes out, as a result of the explosion. Dede leads the others to attack the robot.  She spots an opening on its head and shrinks down and flies inside into it.

Inside, she fires blasts the weapon systems and succeeds in shutting the robot down for good.

She flies out as Edzilla rips it apart and exposes the bomb.

Dede: Guys, I think I'm sitting on the bomb.

Another Pyronite appears suddenly. It resembles Heatblast.

Pyronite General: Alan. Would you mind explaining this?

Alan: Yeah. This planet is off limits to your little war.

Pyronite General: I knew this would happen. You went soft.

The projection vanishes and the bomb glows in a bright purple.

Eddy: So, any good news there?

Alan: I can disarm it in a few minutes.

Eddy: Good. That's over with.

Alan: Not really. It's going to go off in five minutes.

Dede: Can't we just evacuate the place?

Alan: Well, the Prynoties thought it was so brilliant to put a bomb that could take out the entire planet. That's impossible.

Edzilla: There goes the whole planet.

Rolf: Rolf fears this is our last moments.

Dede: I can't believe this is happening.

Alan: Quite frankly, neither can I. There we are.

He has the bomb in is hand.

Alan: Yo, big guy. How good is your throw?

Edzilla: Just fine. Why?

Dede: Alan, what are you doing?

He doesn't answer, and Edzilla tosses him into the sky. Eddy and Rolf take off after him and after releasing the bomb in outer space with Rolf's help, he begins to fall naturally. Eddy catches him in time.

The group, on the ground, watch as the bomb explodes from outer space.

In the hospital, Dexter, still knocked out, is in a bed next to Gwen. Dede is tending to them both. The others watch from the outside.

Rolf: I think we have succeeded.

Eddy: I agree.

Edzilla: Yeah, but we still have a member in the hospital as well as another ally.

Eddy: Well, we saved the world. There's that, sock head.

Alan: I wouldn't call him out on that. They'll be back and I think they'll know how to handle you guys.

Eddy: Oh, give me a break. What now.

Alan: I'll try to contact the general and see what he thinks. In the mean time, you prepare for what might come.

Leaving them with that shocking thought, he leaves to go into the room with Dede.

Alan: Tell Gwen I said to get better.

Dede: Thanks, Alan. I'll do so.

He smiles and goes outside and uses his fire to rocket himself home.

Later, the others have left to go to the mansion, but Dede still tends to her brother and Gwen.

Dede: Don't worry, guys. I'll get you better soon enough.

Dexter (slowly): Why would tell an unconscious person that?

Dede, not thinking, leaps and gives her brother a crushing hug.

Dexter: Dede, enough!

Dede lets go.

Dede: We dismissed the bomb. We'll have to catch you up on the rest.

Gwen gets up as well, showing no signs of being hurt at all.

Gwen: Guys, I'm back to normal. I feel normal.

The siblings look at each other and at her.

Gwen: How is this possible?
The third prequel in Edvnegers 8. As I stated earlier, Gwen does get her powers, but it will be revealed later on that she's had them without knowing it. Also, since Fall Break has started for me, expect at least two chapters on the weekdays. So there will probably be another chapter later today.
