Description
The original idea for a GvKK remake that Toho themselves had. During the Heisei era of the series, Toho wanted to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a remake of their most successful film. However, due to the fact they couldn't get the rights to Kong, they tried an other project that pitted Godzilla against Kong's metal doppelganger, Mechani-Kong. However, since it was in Kong's likeness, they couldn't uses him either, so they went with the film we know as Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. The Kong suit used here is from the 1976 remake, as it is speculated among fans that that's how he'd probably look. Or, at least close to it. The poster, as well as the previous one, is based on a VHS cover that really did fool fans into thinking it was a remake. I think it even used the versions you see here. So, I used that as inspiration when making this and the first poster. The one I have for Godzilla vs. Kong, won't, however. That said, the DVD cover for this will be up here in a moment. If you add this to your favorites, please comment on it first. Thanks.
