Godzilla vs. Koopzilla Ch 4: Attack on Godzilla

Using their raccoon power ups, Mario and Luigi are now flying in the city to find Godzilla.

Luigi: I'm hoping that this crazy plan of yours works, Mario.

Mario: Of course it will, brother. All we need to is find Godzilla and we're set.

The monster's roar gives them that hint.

Mario: That's him. Let's go!

Luigi (to himself): Yes, Captain Obvious.

Godzilla marches to a train track, stomping in it's path before tossing it into a building. He continues marching, and destroys a building, letting out a roar as it crumbles to the ground.

Mario makes a dash for it, while a frightened Luigi follows his brother.

Mario, angered with Godzilla, pulls out a large microphone.

Mario: Hey, G man! You over sized destructive lizard!

Godzilla turns to them, a bit confused.

Mario: Leave this town right now, before we use deadly force!

Not phased by that threat at all, Godzilla roars and uses his fire breath, which just barley misses the Mario Bros. They fly away, but Godzilla gives chase.

Mario: Told you it would work, Luigi! Godzilla's chasing us!

Luigi: We couldn't have better luck...

Godzilla chomps down, nearly getting Luigi. He then uses his fire breath, which they just dodge.

Mario: He's following us tightly.

Godzilla uses the breath again, this time hitting Luigi.

Luigi (in pain and panic): Ouch! Way too tightly for my tastes!

As he continues to chase them, the rest of the group has a trap waiting for the giant monster.

Toad: There! Our Godzilla trap is in place.

A loud roar gets their attention.

Yoshi: We have perfect timing!

They watch as Godzilla continues to chase the Mario Bros.

Princess Toadstool: But he's gaining on Mario and Luigi!

The two land on a building as Godzilla enters the trap area, powering down to their normal forms. The monster roars at the group, preparing to finish them.

Mario: We've got him right where we want him.

The giant lizard looks up at the trap, thinking it'll do nothing.

Mario: Guys, prepare the net!

Their friends use their fire power ups and the Calico crew get Godzuki to use his smoke ring to set off Bob ombs to drop the net on him. This works, and Godzilla roars in frustration, trying to get out, with no luck and falls to the ground.

Mario and Luigi: It worked!

The monster continues to struggle to get out, but with no luck at all.

The three power down and turn to Mario and Luigi.

Yoshi: So, Mario, what kind of net is that, anyways?

Mario: A solid steel one, Yoshi. We can thank Captain Majors and Dr. Garden for it. Godzilla won't be getting out anytime soon.

Luigi: You sure about that, Mario?

Godzilla uses his fire breath to destroy the net, allowing him to escape.

Princess Toadstool: No! He's escaped!

The monster roars in victory of him escaping.

Luigi: Mario, that plan of yours completely and utterly failed!

Mario: You don't need to rub that in!

Godzilla turns to the group on the roof, and destroys it with his fire breath.

Mario: No!

Godzilla roars, but sees that Mario's friends escaped using the raccoon power ups, and Luigi sees this as well.

Luigi: Mario, look!

Mario takes notice of it as well, and the crew of the Calico escaping in a plane.

Princess Toadstool: We're okay, guys! Now run for it!

Godzilla turns his attention to the Mario brothers, getting ready to destroy a new target.

Mario: Too late!

Godzilla roars and charges his up his fire breath as Luigi screams, but is stopped when weapons hit him.

Confused, the Mario brothers look up.

Luigi: Mario!

Mario: Huh?

They see Koopa's ships surrounding Godzilla, and the confused monster roars at them. He takes notice of one that Koopa is on, and is marching to the front with his three minions standing close to him. Godzilla roars in confusion at the ship.

Princess Toadstool: It's King Koopa!

Toad: Did he just save Mario and Luigi?

Yoshi: And all of us too!

Brock: Why do I get the feeling this guy isn't on our side?

Koopa laughs and walks further to the front of the ship.

King Koopa: Hey, you giant crocodile! No one destroys a city and those plumbers and brings chaos but me, the Koopa King!

He leaps off his ship, landing in front of Mario and Luigi.

Mario: Koopa! I don't know why you're here, but man, you are just in time!

Koopa turns to them.

King Koopa: Don't take this the wrong way, you two! I didn't come here to save you! I came here to settle a score with your new gigantic pal!

Luigi: What? Does he bother you? If true, how so?

King Koopa: Cause I'm the only giant monster reptile around here! This world isn't big enough for the two of us, since that power's mine and mine alone! Koopa Pack, attack! Blast that lizard into a hundred pieces!

The ships fire away at Godzilla, only to have little effect as the monster roars at them. They continue firing, having the same effect. However, they get his attention and after roaring, he follow sthem. The Calico crew lands on the ground with the princess, Yoshi and Toad to watch the scene unfold.

Godzilla uses his fire breath, but they dodge it. He does it again, and the same happens. They fire away, again having no effect, and Godzilla roars in anger.

Tryclide: Lakitu, attack him!

The turtle flies over to Godzilla with his cloud, preparing the spikies. He throws three at Godzilla, all landing on his chest. The saurian looks down in confusion at them.

Lakitu: Was that too much for you?

Godzilla uses his hands to swipe them off and uses his fire breath to knock Lakitu back into the ship, where Koopa's three minions hide after screaming in fear. Godzilla uses his breath once more, this time hitting the ships, sending every one of them to the ground.

King Koopa: My ships! No!

On the ground, his three minions use the pipe to pop up in front of Mario and the others.

Mario and Luigi: You're here too?

Koopa Troopa: Yes, Mario Brothers. Hello, long time no see.

Mouser and Tryclide get to their feet and turn to him.

Mouser and Tryclide: This is not the time to say hello to the enemy!
