Nintendo Avengers vs. Sega Justice League Ch 7

Ness turns to the building that lost its sign, and sees a woman falling from it. Using his yo-yo, he manages to save her. After setting her down, Ness turns to see Mario using a Mega Mushroom.

Sonic: You have got to be kidding me.

Mario: Everyone, stand back!

Joe ignores him and charges, but Mario grabs him and slams him into the street. He walks over to continue the attack, but Joe lands a punch that surprisingly sends Mario into a building.

Mario: From behind? Cheap shot.

He throws a fire ball, and though it misses Joe, it causes a large explosion from behind him. He does it again and this one sends Joe into a truck. Mario does it a third time and sends both Joe and the truck into an office building that thankfully is empty. As that goes on, Ness saves a citizen from a car that was flying in his direction due to Mario's attack.

Taking the chance, Kirby uses his hammer to knock the car into Ristar, sending them both tumbling. As the fight continues, helicopters from G.U.N. fill the skies. Fox notices a car that's nearly about to fall off a bridge, and attempts to save it, but fails. Luckily, Kirby uses his Warp Star to save the woman inside. He flies her up to Fox, who grabs her hand.

Fox: I've got you! Just look at me!

He helps her back up onto the bridge as Kirby tosses the car back up as well. Sonic races off to help other citizens, despite hearing Donkey Kong roaring in a building he passes. Ristar charges in to distract him from charging at Sonic, but the gorilla throws a large piece of metal at him, sending him into a pipe and to the ground. He approaches Ristar, and prepares to flatten him with his fists, but Sonic dashes in knock him out of the way.

Outside, a normal sized Mario is facing Shadow. Before he can attack, Shadow uses his gun to blast Mario into the air, with some assistance from an explosive pipe. On the top of that building, Kirby lands on the very top and begins to summon lighting. Joe takes notice of this and charges at the building, but is only sent away by the attack.

On the Halberd, one of the jets is preparing to take off. However, this one, along with the others, was not to be deployed. The group inside take notice of this quickly.

Toadette: Sir, there's a jet in motion! I repeat, a jet in motion!

Meta Knight, in a slight panic, runs out there with his sword drawn.

Toadette: Take off is not authorized! Shut it down!

Back in the city, Joe attempts to attack Kirby again, despite the young Star Warrior using his lighting ability once again. This time, though, Joe manages to make it through, and the two make contact, resulting in an massive explosion that destroys a good part of the area. Back on the Halberd, Meta Knight has made it outside just in time to see the jet taking off. He takes aim and throws his sword, and it successfully stops it. However, this was the wrong one, and he watches as the unauthorized one takes off. He retrieves his sword and uses his communicator to ring in Mario.

Meta Knight: Mario, we have nuclear strike heading for the city.

Back there, Fox gets up and watches as the destruction continues. He watches as fire fighter team rushes in to a building to save a woman's teenage daughter and another one's baby. Ness and Sonic make it in before them, and Sonic saves the daughter while Ness saves the baby. Both heroes return them to their family members just before an explosion hits. Having enough of this, Fox decides to call them all out.

Fox: Enough!

All stop fighting and turn to him.

Fox: I don't know what you plan on doing here, but whatever it is, it needs to stop.

Joe: We're not doing anything. You attacked us out of fear that you couldn't control us. You won't and your never going to.

A long pause as the heroes exchange glances.

Joe: But that doesn't mean we're enemies.

Fox: Is that right? Prove it, then.

Joe: We're here only to help, since we do that in our world.

Donkey Kong: I think I get it. We're all heroes, but from different universes. I guess we should be friends and save what's left of this city.

Joe: I agree. We'll trust you if you trust us.

Sonic's friends, who were in Peach's castle the whole time, breath a sigh of relief.

Tails: Well, I guess that's that then. They weren't trying to destroy us because they're villains. They were just protecting their world.

Back the streets, after exchanging some needed hand shakes, they take notice of the jet when Kirby points it out. The aircraft sends a nuclear missile into the city.

Pilot: Detention in 3 minutes and 2 seconds.

As the jet flies away from the city, the area's power starts to go off, which the two groups of heroes take notice of. The entire city powers down, and the heroes exchange worried glances. However, a message on every TV across the city comes on. It's from Mephiles.

Mephiles: Enjoy you're petty little truce and victory, Sonic and Shadow. But no matter how fast you go, you'll never be able to stop the destruction of the home of millions. Ones that you didn't even know existed. You're stuck in this universe now. Surrender now, or watch this universe suffer the consequences of your failed actions.

Still exchanging glaces, the heroes prepare for one last battle. A purple energy surges through the city, knocking down several items, and one bolt of it hits Ness, knocking the young hero off his feet. As Shadow helps him up, Mephiles appears in front of them all.

Mephiles: Bad move.

Shadow: What did you do?

Mephiles: If you wish to know that, you'll have to catch me, my old nemesis.

He attempts to take off, but Sonic stops him. Ness and Kirby join in as well, and both help in bringing the villain down by using a car and Kirby's lighting ability. However, he quickly gets up, chuckling.

Mephiles: That's the spirit. But you all should know by know you can't stop me. No matter what universe you come from, you never will stop me.

He charges, and grabs Sonic and tosses him onto the hood of a car. He than grabs Sonic again and after running a few inches away, he slams him on the ground.

Mephiles: You were the one who brought me here, so I figure that you should be finished first. You broke the time barrier, which with the combined power of the Tri Force, managed to bring me here to this world, along with your little friends. But enough of that.

He grabs Sonic by his arm, and lands a few punches to his face. After the last punch, Mephiles kicks Sonic down as he tries to get up. Before he can get up, a large fire ball knocks him away. Sonic turns to see Mario and the others ready to battle.

Mephiles: It doesn't how many of you there are. I'll control all of this world. I will be a god to them.

Ness: A dark hedgehog god?

Mephiles: Yes.

He runs from the group, and Sonic again gives chase. The others prepare to, but the missile is getting closer.

Mario: That nuke is coming in fast. It'll blow any minute.

Joe: Then you and I will stop it.

Mario: Agreed.

The two take off to stop the missile from hitting the city as Sonic continues to chase Mephiles. The group on the Halberd watch as the scene unfolds, with Sonic finally stopping Mephiles, but Mario and Joe fail to stop the missile and it hits the city. Sonic turns and watches as the nuclear blast begins to destroy the city.

Sonic: Great. How do we stop that?

He gets an idea, but he's not happy with it.

Sonic: Sorry, guys. If I'm going to stop this, I need to break that barrier again.

He grabs the Tri Force and soon takes off as the explosion approaches the heroes, who try to escape, but fail. As he begins to run, he breaks the barrier, yelling as he does so, noticing all the past events. The result reverses all that has happened. As it comes to an end, he separates the two universes, and brings his team back to their world. Upon entering, he gives Mephiles a punch to the face, but the dark hedgehog tackles him and slams him against wall. Repeatedly, he throws punches at Sonic, all making contact. After the last punch, he grabs Sonic and throws him into a window.

Before he can continue the attack, Hans shoots an arrow, which gets his attention. He turns to the archer, but Ristar lands his own punch to Mephiles. It does little, as he just uses his energy spear to knock a small plane out of the air. Ristar stretches his arms to catch the aircraft before it hits the ground. Angered, Mephiles turns to Hans as he pulls the arrow off of him.

Hans: Some of my new special arrows. The produce a high frequency that is halting your speed. You're not going anywhere for now.

Mephiles smiles and charges at Hans, only for the archer to grab him and slam him on the ground. As he tries to get up, Ristar lowers the jet to the ground. Ignoring that, he continues his fight with Hans, each throwing punches, but is again slammed on his back. Hans grabs his bow and arrow and prepares to fire, but Mephiles gets up and grabs him by the throat and finally knocks him to the ground.

Mephiles: I've read about your kingdom, how your the pacifist that hates fighting and will live to be in your 80's. Too bad you'll never see that day, Hans. So I guess I heard wrong.

He prepares to strike him down with his claws, but Sonic rams into him, and allows Mephiles to chase him. The two stop when they get to a roof of a building.

Sonic: Ristar, now!

Ristar: Right!

He throws a punch that knocks Mephiles off the building and on to  a car. He tries to get up, but only gets halfway before Shadow shoots him with a stun gun. As the other heroes surround Mephiles, Sonic groans with a headache, to which Hans take notice.

Hans: Sonic, you okay?

Sonic: I'm fine, Hans. But after all we've been through, this is going to be one special headache.

Hans smiles with a light chuckle and, along with the others, watches as Sonic approaches Mephiles.

Sonic: I caught you.

He takes off in a rush, surprising the others.

Back in the other dimension, Fox gets up from his bed, with a vague memory of what happened. He notices an envelope that reads "To Captain Fox McCloud". He opens it with a note from Sonic in it. It reads: "Dear Fox, If you ever need us, we'll be there in a second. Sincerely, your new friends that's a universe away. P.S. Since we're a universe away, this note was a lot harder to leave than you would think." Fox puts the note away, smiling as he dose so. As it turns out, the other heroes in this universe have received the same note. All seems to be well in both universes. In fact, Shadow and Joe have discovered a hammer that resembles Kirby's, which leads them to think they will meet again.

However, Mephiles, despite being captured by Sonic and the others, has managed to escape. Using his new found powers, he brings villains from both universes. These villains are: King Dedede, Tatanga, Greedy and Zeed in his original form.

Mephiles: Welcome, gentlemen.

Zeed: Who are you? What have you done?

Mephiles just smiles as the four villains give him a confused look.

Mephiles: Trust me, my new allies. This is going to be fun.

He uses the same powers to cause a disturbance in the other universe, in the past where Fox first defeated Andross, confusing the villain. Catching on to his plan, the villains grow a smile on their faces.
